This imagery embodies the aesthetics of failure – data corruption organized into visual poetry. It shows and conceals in equal measure.

The backgrounds come from Google Earth Virginia. The FBI, CIA, Amazon along with other international data centres are located there. Because the centres need to be protected, when you activate Street View it obfuscates.

I’ve inhabited the images with human surrogates whose uncanny energy animate these impossible places.
